Caxito - The President of MPLA, João Lourenço, appealed this Saturday, in Caxito (Bengo), to the militants of his party to continue to be guided by civism and tolerance demanded in the electoral period that culminates with the inauguration of the new Head of State, in September.
He said that this attitude should be maintained, especially in the relationship with political opponents, who should be defeated within the imposed rules.
During a mass rally, in Caxito, he asked for restraint, although he acknowledged that in these moments of elections, tempers get a little heated.
"We want tempers to get exalted in a good way. We want the adrenaline to rise in our veins so that we can make good speeches and increase our capacity to convince", he said.
On the other hand, he warned the voters to know the polling station where they are going to vote so that they don't go looking for it on polling day and thus run the risk of not voting.
"Voting is not continued the next day. Anyone who does not vote on the 24th has missed the train. You have missed the opportunity to vote," he emphasised.
He explained that voters should be at their polling station in the early hours of the morning, stressing that it is forbidden to bring any partisan clothing.
Angola will choose, on 24 August, for the fifth time since 1992, the fourth time in a row since 2008, the Head of State and the members of the National Assembly.
