Luanda - Brazil's ambassador to Angola, Rafael Vidal, considered today, in Luanda, that Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport (AIAAN) will be a platform for promoting trade and tourism, connecting the country to the world.
Speaking to ANGOP, at the inaugural event of AIAAN, Rafael Vidal, highlighted the advantages of the infrastructure that in this first phase will be used for cargo from Angola to Africa and between Angola and the world.
For the ambassador, the airport inaugurated by President João Lourenço is a new channel for commercial and tourist integration, a truly magnificent work.
He reinforced that “President João Lourenço promised and delivered another work, so Brazil is happy to be part of this great event”.
Rafael Vidal added that Brazil has been a great partner of Angola since independence, having invested a lot in infrastructure and in rebuilding the country after the civil war.
“We continue to invest in the infrastructure and development of Angola, not only in physical works, but also in cooperation, agriculture, health and defence. The airport will certainly be a channel at the service of Angola's development effort, which is going well”, he assured.
He said it was a source of pride “to be, on the 10th, the eve of the Angolan Independence celebrations, present for the inauguration ceremony of this magnificent Dr.António Agostinho Neto airport”.
The ambassador believes that access will be faster with the infrastructure works that are being built, from rail transport and roads.
