Luanda - The price of a barrel of Brent oil opened trading on the stock exchange at US$65.97 on the international market on Thursday (10), after closing the previous day's sales session at US$65.48, a 2.46% drop.
Crude oil futures prices for delivery in June closed Wednesday's sales session at US$65.48/barrel, with a minimum variation of US$58.40 and a maximum of US$66.02, according to the specialized website “investing.com”.
The drop in prices is due to concerns that the latest trade tariffs instituted by US President Donald Trump could push economies around the world into recession and reduce global demand for energy.
Brent is the oil that serves as a reference for Angola's exports.
The Angolan State Budget for the 2025 financial year was projected based on a price of US$70/barrel and an estimated production of one 1.098 million barrel/daily.
