Dundo - The general commander of the National Police, Francisco Ribas, began a two-day visit to the province of Lunda-Norte on Tuesday, to inspect the security of the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The commissioner will visit the Chissanda and Furtuna border crossings, as well as the Border Guard Police units, to assess working conditions and the readiness of staff.
In Lunda-Norte, Francisco Ribas will also assess the public security situation and the state of complement of the forces and resources.
Before starting his visits, the commander was received by the governor of Lunda-Norte, Filomena Miza, with whom he discussed issues of public security, illegal immigration, fuel smuggling and vandalization of public property. HD/AMP
