Luanda – The Sécil Marítima management committee spokesperson, Silvano Araújo, informed on Sunday that the company intends to transport a thousand passengers daily, on the Cabinda-Soyo and Vice-Versa route.
As per the spokesperson, Sécil Marítima intends, in the near future, to carry out four sea daily trips.
Silvano Araújo was speaking about the reactivation of catamaran services, following the stoppage seen last week, having revealed that, at the moment, they only have a single boat available.
The only catamaran we have available transported 820 users in a single day, on a total of 3 trips from Cabinda to Soyo and vice-versa.
“At the moment, we only have one vehicle operating. We plan to place another one on Monday, on the Luanda-Cabinda route and, if everything goes well, we will have a third one in the next few days”, the spokesperson said.
Silvano Araújo stressed that the three ships are for passengers only, and the recently acquired cargo vessel will begin operating before the end of the current month, with a capacity of 500 tons.
