Luanda - The improvement and increase of the capacity to distribute drinking water, basic sanitation and the rehabilitation of roads and other infrastructures in the city of Luanda, are fundamental to bring the country's capital to a successful conclusion.
The statement was made today, Monday, by the new governor of the province of Luanda, Manuel da Fonseca Nunes, shortly after the ceremony of his inauguration, guided by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
Manuel da Fonseca Nunes, who previously held the same position in Benguela, said with the help of all Luanda’s, residents including the media, that the capital will have a better quality of life.
'With the support of everyone, including the press, we will make it. I want to make a participatory governance in which everyone sees themselves in it, without exception', he expressed.
On the same occasion, the holder of the Executive Power swore in the new governor of Benguela, Manuel Nunes Júnior, who in statements to the press expressed his total commitment to continuing the social impact projects carried out by his predecessor.
'The province of Benguela has very important projects underway, and our main priority is to continue to develop them, until they reach completion in a timely manner and with the required quality,' he stressed.
At the same ceremony, the Minister of the Interior, Manuel Homem, the Secretaries of State for Administration, Finance and Heritage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Osvaldo dos Santos Varela, and the Minister for Human Rights and Citizenship of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, Antónia Osvaldina Simão da Cruz Yaba, were also sworn in.
