Luanda - The country's new Political Administrative Division (DPA) plans to build infrastructure to accommodate state services and bodies, the Minister of Territorial Administration, Dionísio Manuel da Fonseca said Tuesday in Luanda.
The minister recalled that with the implementation of the DPA, whose project was analysed by the Cabinet, Angola will have 21 provinces, 326 municipalities and 378 communes.
'This plan essentially aims to create material, human and financial conditions for the implementation of the organs of political division in these territories, whether they are provincial, municipal or even communal level,' he said.
on Tuesday, the Cabinet considered the draft diploma that approves the Action Plan for the Implementation of the new DPA, an instrument that contains a set of essential tasks that must be implemented in an integrated and chained way, with a view to preparing and organizing the administrative, human and material conditions indispensable to the functioning of the Bodies and Services of the Local Administration of the State, in each level.
Also, within the framework of the DPA, the meeting analyzed a Draft Presidential Decree that amends the Regulation of the State Local Administration Law.
The amendments aim to harmonize the provisions relating to the structuring, organization and functioning of the bodies of the Local Administration of the State with some institutional changes that have occurred at the level of Public Administration, and to introduce a new paradigm of simpler and more functional organic structure for municipalities of type E.
