Luanda - The First Edition of the National Youth Prize has announced the winners of several categories that include, education, culture, sports and entrepreneurship.
The winner of each category will receive a certificate of honour, a statuette and a check containing the amount of 1.5 million kwanza.
The award ceremony will be held during a gala scheduled for April 29.
Kanguimbo Ananaz, who presided over the judging panel, highlighted the potential of the young people judging by the works presented which, according to her, exceeded expectations.
"In a universe of about 300 applications, from young people aged 15 - 35 years old, 271 were valid", she said.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports’ annual award aims to reward youth organisations and individuals, in recognition of their achievements, value merit, excellence and resilience.
