Moçâmedes- The Minister of State for Social Affairs, Carolina Cerqueira, Wednesday, in Moçâmedes, Namibe province, appealed for the adhesion of the population to the vaccination posts.
The appeal was made by the minister at a meeting with the community of the municipalities of Moçâmedes and Tômbwa, so that all families can be vaccinated and thus avoid a greater number of infections.
She said that the most vulnerable and nomadic people were a priority and urged the local government and the health sector to create conditions for the vaccination campaign in areas where there were a considerable number of nomadic and vulnerable people.
"We have noticed that there is a will from the population to be vaccinated and this volunteering obliges us to create as soon as possible the conditions for the vaccine to reach these places, because we want healthy families," she added.
For the government official, at this moment it is essential to fight the virus in order to safeguard the life and wellbeing of families and the survival of companies.
In Namibe province over sixty thousand people have already been vaccinated.
