Luanda - Fight against corruption and impunity are part of the actions implemented by the Angolan Executive since it took into office in 2017, the main goal in the President João Lourenço’s term.
Public managers, government officials, employees and individuals, holding government positions, were targeted by tip-off or proven participation in the illicit acts.
Also, the Angolan justice seized, in the last five years, movable and real estate assets worth more than 4.2 billion dollars.
The list covers assets (frozen and seized) in Angola and abroad, including buildings, residences, offices, farms, money, vehicles, various machines, supermarkets and hotels.
Justice Reform
The Reform of Justice, under the president João Lourenço, was also a fact and a reality.
The organisation and functioning of the courts of common and specialised jurisdiction, such as the Constitutional Court and the Court of Auditors, are now more dynamic, more functional, active, independent and present.
Simplifies
Also under the State reforms, President João Lourenço and the Executive he leads launched the “Simplifica” project, which has progressively reduced the number and types of documents to comply with an administrative procedure.
The project aims to reduce bureaucracy to process official documents, such as the Identity Card (BI) of a national citizen.
