Luanda – Angola plans to build three military hospitals in the provinces of Cabinda (north), Huambo (centre) and Moxico (east) with a view to serving the respective regions.
The announced was made on Saturday in Luanda by the minister of State and Head of the Military Affairs Office to the President of the Republic, Francisco Furtado.
The work on those health units will start between February 28 and March 6th of this year, said the minister of State, who was addressing an re-inauguration ceremony of Multiperfil clinic’s emergency room in Luanda.
He said that the construction of the new hospital units are meant to provide better health service conditions to the military, in particular, and to the population, in general.
In his speech, he announced, for July this year, the inauguration of works on the emergency building of the Military Hospital Institute.
In August, he said, the laying of the first stone for the construction of the new Military Hospital in Grafanil military field, in Luanda.
As for the Multiperfil clinic, Francisco Furtado noted that, over the next two years, it will have refurbished and properly equipped structures that will help to provide decent assistance.
Thus, he advised officials to take good care of the infrastructure, with a view to ensuring better service to Angolan families.
The rehabilitation works lasted ten months and include the construction of the Molecular Biology laboratory, infrastructure for the kitchen, dining rooms and houses for the security guards.
