Luanda – Angola reported last Saturday, the registration of 226 new cases, 223 recovered patients and 2 deaths in the last 24 hours.
According to the Secretary of State for Health, 179 were diagnosed in Luanda, 31 in Huambo, 6 in Zaire, 5 in Huíla, 3 in Namibe, 1 in Benguela and 1 in Bié.
The list has 160 male and 66 female patients whose age ranges from 9 months to 88 years.
In the last 24 hours 2,117 samples were processed by RT-PCR, with a daily positivity rate of 10.7%.
According to Franco Mufinda, among those recoveries, 162 live in Luanda, 30 in Namibe, 17 in Huíla and 14 in Benguela.
The deaths were recorded in Benguela.
Angola has confirmed 95,902 cases, of which 6,865 are active, 1,886 have died and 87,151 have recovered. From the active cases, 5 are in critical condition, 29 are severe, 48 are moderate, 37 are mild and 6,746 are asymptomatic.
In the treatment centers, 121 patients are hospitalized, while 76 are in institutional quarantine.
