Cabinda – Health Minister, Sílvia Lutucuta, is in Cabinda province, to assess the functioning of the local general hospital, after its inauguration in April this year, by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
Located in Chibodo, on the northern outskirts of Cabinda city, the minister was also able to see the state of the art equipment, whose purpose is to increase the capacity of the National Health Service to carry out magnetic resonance exams, CAT scans, mammography, electroencephalograms, and with diagnostic means to serve other services.
The Cabinet minister, accompanied by officials from different areas of her ministry, was received by the deputy governor for the Political and Social sector, Miguel de Oliveira.
The reference unit was designed to meet the needs of the population of this province, so that its inhabitants can benefit from medical and medication assistance, as well as providing a quality service without having to travel to other parts of the country or abroad.
The building is located on a plot of approximately 39,150 m2, with nine floors, contains technical areas and complementary administrative areas for inpatient services, surgeries, emergencies, delivery rooms, among others.
