Dundo - The Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) in Lunda-Norte seized a total of 2,468 diamond stones of various carats on Tuesday in Lucapa municipality, for illegal possession and trafficking, the spokesperson of the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), Graciano Lumanhe has said.
According to the SIC spokesperson, the diamonds were in possession of a 35-year-old Egyptian national.
The SIC officer said that a total of 6,750 US dollars and 1.1 million kwanzas were seized , along with a diamond weighing scale, a diamond testing machine, a sieve game, among other means used in the illicit activities of buying and selling diamonds. HD/TED/AMP
