Luanda – Angolan president João Lourenço left Luanda Friday for Namibe province, where he will inaugurate infrastructures to support the Iona National Park, among other activities, the president’s press office has said.
Accompanied by First Lady Ana Dias Lourenço, the president received farewell greetings from the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, among other officials.
The Head of State's visit to the Iona National Park will take place on Saturday 18 May.
Before leaving Namibe on Sunday, João Lourenço will hold a meeting with the provincial government to find out about the socio-economic situation in the region, as part of the Open Presidency program. VIC/AMP
