Luanda - Angola qualified this Friday for three finals at the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) World Championships, which end on Sunday at the Humo Arena in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).
Ana Fernanda, in the 79.4kg category, faces England's Alanna Pritchard in the final on Saturday.
In the other final in the junior category on Sunday, Maria Kitoco, in the 74.8kg category, will face the host, Makhliyo Abdumannobova.
Clarence Francisco will face Xurshidaxon Rozikova, from Uzbekistan.
On Friday, in the semi-finals, the Angolan athletes showed great determination and won several bronze medals.
Nkunga Vakanda (56 kg), Milfa Nicolau (88 kg), Maria Liberal (70.3 kg), Jeorgina Ludmila (79.4 kg), Esperança Pereira (56.7 kg) and Linara Costa.

Speaking to the press, Armando Diogo, president of the Angolan Federation of the sport, said that the results already achieved make the country proud.
He said it was the first time in the history of the sport that an African country had secured a place in a World Championship final.
