Luanda- The Attorney General's Office (PGR) on Tuesday confirmed the charges against generals Manuel Hélder Vieira Dias Júnior "Kopelipa" and Leopoldino Fragoso do Nascimento "Dino", as part of the China International Fund (CIF) case.
According to Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), which provided the information, generals "Kopelipa" and "Dino" had been made defendants in October 2020.
The generals are accused of benefiting from contracts concluded between the Angolan State and the CIF, under the now defunct National Reconstruction Office (GRN).
Among other projects, CIF owned, in Luanda, two towers located in the street of the 1st Congress of the MPLA, in Ingombotas, and more than a thousand unfinished buildings built with public funds, in the Urban District of Zango, also in the country's capital.
