Ondjiva – At least 400 kilometers of road are expected to be paved by 2027 in southern Cunene province to ensure greater mobility for people and goods, the Minister of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing, Carlos Alberto dos Santos, said on Sunday.
Speaking to ANGOP, the minister said the program includes the Omala/Cuvelai sections, which were re-launched in July, Otchinjau/Oncócua, Xangongo/ Calueque/Omayenene.
The minister said the Cahama/Otchinjau section, which is currently over 90 percent complete, with only a 40-metre bridge and two hydraulic crossings is still to be completed.
According to the minister, although the contracts have been finalized, there is the need for external budgetary and financial resources, which will gradually be included in the State Budget..FI/FA/LHE/VIC/DAN/AMP
