Luanda - The National Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) team leads the ranking of the International Federation of Mixed Martial Arts (IMMAF), according to an update of the list of 67 countries made on Sunday.
In Uzbekistan, where the World Championship of mixed martial arts of juniors and seniors will take place from the fifth to the 10th of November, at the Arena Humor, the national team in senior is the first, with 7366 points, improving the 3rd place of the last update.
Also on the podium are Kazakhstan, in second place, with 7252 pts, and Bahrain, third, with 6970 pts.
In the junior class, the country comes in third position, behind only Ukraine (first place) and Tajikistan (third place).
However, the National Team completed the third day in Uzbekistan, this Monday, participating in a training on doping, aimed at instructing fighters to avoid the ingestion of prohibited substances that increase sports performance.
With its debut scheduled for Tuesday (5), the Angolan team has already carried out two training sessions in Uzbekistan with the aim of adapting to the climate, one of them being held in the open air, at the Furqat Bogi park.
The national delegation includes 27 athletes, namely Nkunga Vakanda (bantamweight), Ricardo Pireza (lightweight), Milfa Nicolau and Jones Mabungu (super middleweight), in women's Nilza Muhanha (atomweight), Nadir Vieira (featherweight).
Maria Kitoko (super lightweight) and Clarence Francisco (super welterweight), all from the junior combined, also complete.
In the seniors, Mafuana Mbungu (flyweight), Leonardo Pascoal, Adalberto Ntyamba (bantamweight), Matias Monteiro, Clélio Diogo (featherweight), Pedro Calembela, William Bombo (lightweight), Tulunda Daniel, Axel Augusto (super lightweight) represent the country.
Mário Stefan (middleweight), Anderson Gouveia, Elias Augusto (super middleweight), Nicklas Herlander, Massanu Mbimba (heavyweight), Hélder Manuel and Elfran Marques (super heavyweight).
In addition to Esperança Pereira (flyweight), Maria Liberal (lightweight) and Georgina Ludmila (super lightweight) fill the vacancies in the women's class.
