Luanda - Angolan ambassador to Namibia Jovelina Imperial met with her US counterpart Randy Berry to discuss the challenges related to the cooperation between the two countries, Angop has learnt.
Jovelina Imperial thanked the American country’s gesture and support for the execution of renewable and clean energy projects in Angola.
She also highlighted the strong bond of cooperation between Angolan and North American businesspeople, in the most diverse domains.
Jovelina Imperial said that Angola remains open to a new dynamic in political-diplomatic relations, as well as in the economic aspect with the United States of America.
In turn, Ambassador Randy Berry reiterated his government's intention to favour economic and business ties between the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, the two ambassadors considered the relations between the two countries good and promised to work towards reinforcing the existing cooperation.
Prior to Namibia, the new US Ambassador, Randy Berry, also served as Deputy Undersecretary of the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labour (DRL) from 2016 to 2018.
Cooperation between Angola and United States last for decades.
The President João Lourenço highlighted in December 2022, during the USA-Africa Summit, that the country has the conditions and resources to attract more American investments.
