Luanda - The Angolan Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX) and DHL Angola signed on Thursday a memorandum of understanding was signed Thursday in Luanda, to boost Angolan exports and promote efficient links to international markets through e-commerce and the logistics chain.

The agreement was signed by the AIPEX CEO, Arlindo Rangel, and the managing director of DHL Angola, Juvenal Coque.

Arlindo Rangel said the signing of the agreement was the result of the mission to boost e-commerce, formalise informal business and expand the reach of Angolan products around the world.

According to Arlindo Rangel, the partnership marks another firm step in AIPEX's commitment to promoting exports and strengthening the e-commerce ecosystem in Angola and that the aim of this collaboration is to create a digital platform for exhibiting and promoting products made locally, serving as a virtual showcase for national production.

‘These efforts will be anchored in the creation of a commercial intelligence area at AIPEX, which will act as a central channel for doing business and making strategic decisions, as well as drawing up promotional materials and joint progress reports,’ he said.

Juvenal Coque on his turn said the main focus of the agreement is to help companies expand their products outside the country and compete on the international market like other companies on a global scale.

It also aims to make companies realize what they need to position themselves on the international market, from the point of view of marketing, packaging and knowledge of what other countries have in terms of customs laws.
