Tômbwa – Angola takes part in the Biennial of Young Creators of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) taking place in Lisbon, Portugal, from November 12.
According to a source from the Tômbwa administration, the country is being represented at the event by the artist Alfredo Calunamba, at the invitation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Recognized for his creativity and strong ties to Angola's cultural roots, Alfredo Calunamba is bringing to this international event a collection of works that portray the identity and richness of the Angolan people.
Speaking to ANGOP on the subject on Friday in Namibe province, the Tômbwa administrator, Abelardo Lemba, praised Angola's presence at the event, congratulating the artist on his representation and wishing him success on his journey, trusting that he will continue to raise the name of the municipality and the country across borders.
The artist's participation in the Biennale is a source of pride for Tômbwa and the entire province of Namibe, highlighting the local and cultural talent of the CPLP, some locals have said.
The event, which brings together young creators from various countries of the community, offers a space for cultural exchange, artistic appreciation and the promotion of diversity. FA/SEC/AMP
