Luanda – Angolan oil production increased by 2.8% in July this year, reaching levels of around 36.2 million barrels of oil (MMBBLS).
The daily average stood at 1.1 million barrels, according to data released by PetroAngola, an Angolan company tasked with providing statistics on oil, gas and renewable energies.
The source put at 35.238 MMBBLS the production recorded in June this year, with block 17 keeping its "good performance" with an average of 394,435 KBPD.
The block 17 topped the list of the largest producers in the period under analysis, followed by block with an average production of 152,798 KBPD.
The Block 32 ranked third, with an average production of 146,809 KBPD.
Premium traded branches
Angolan branches resumed the good performance on July at the international market, a period in which they were sold at a premium of US$4.32 per barrel of oil, above the value of Brent.
In July, the combined prices of the most valued branches in international markets reached an average value of USD107.93 per barrel of oil (BBL), with Angolan crudes traded at USD 4.32/BBL, above.
Cabinda oil branch was the most valued Angolan branch during the month of July, having reached the highest price of USD 119.60/BBL and a monthly average of USD 111.13/BBL, according to PetroAngola's Monthly Report.
Girassol come 2nd with a monthly average of 110.63/BBL and the highest price of USD 119.10/BBL. Dália branch was the 3rd best valued, obtaining a monthly average of USD 105.64/BBL and the highest price of USD 114.90/BBL.
Another highly valued branch was Nemba, which reached the highest price of USD 113.55/BBL, ending the month with an average price of USD 104.33/BBL.
In July, the prices of a barrel of oil suffered a sharp devaluation in international markets.
The Brent, benchmark for the Angolan branch was sold with on 103.61/BBL avarage. There was a reduction of 11.98/BBL when compared to that of June, a period where USD 115.59/BBL was registered as a monthly avarage price.
During the aforementioned period, brent was sold at the highest price of USD 113.50/BBL, reaching USD 103.61/BBL, as montly average.
WTI, United States crude benchmark, reached the highest price of 108.43/BBL and a monthly average of USD 99.85/BBL.
