Luanda – Professional training in English language, called “English Works”, has been taking place since Tuesday, in the Province of Luanda, in a partnership between the National Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (INEFOP) and the Embassy of the United States of America (USA) in Angola.
The diplomatic mission supports the training with USD 50,000, of which 30,000 have already been made available.
The information was provided by the general director of INEFOP, Manuel Mbangui during the launch of the program, which in the first phase will benefit 50 trainees from Luanda and the same number from Benguela.
According to him, the objective is to guarantee technical training in English language to young people who complete professional courses, and others, allowing them to carry out their work activity with another tool for differentiation and competitiveness in the job market.
He said that INEFOP has the support of four specialists from the US Embassy to train trainers, who will continue the process in addition to the collaboration of the National Association of English Language Teachers, which has six employees available to join the program.
Manuel Mbangui highlighted that INEFOP will promote sport and other cultural aspects with the aim of deepening the culture of the language in each of the participants, adding that as part of the expansion of investment in entrepreneurship,
He highlighted that INEFOP, as part of the expansion of the investment of entrepreneurship, intends to use young people for training trainers.
With this, the aim is for young people to create English language learning centers in their communities, he concluded.
