Saurimo - The Saurimo (Lunda-Sul) housing project is physically completed at 95%, with only the technical aspects of the project still to be completed, the Minister of Construction and Public Works, Carlos Santos, said Friday.
Speaking to the press, the minister said that the project had made great progress, with delivery expected in July of this year.
He added that 212 housing units, shops and other infrastructure have been built, with the electrical and water pipes being completed, which will take around three months.
He announced soon the start of the second phase of the Saurimo centrality, which has already been authorized by the Executive, and which will include 1,400 housing units, with a tree bedroons typology, schools, medical centers and support infrastructures.
"The contract has already been signed with the company responsible for the construction, all that remains is to obtain the preventive inspection visa from the Court of Auditors to begin the works", he highlighted.
Roads
The Minister of Construction and Public Works, Carlos Santos, announced that works on the National Road 230, in the Malanje/Saurimo section, will end in March.
He added that work is already being carried out on the Cachilo/Dalatando (Cuanza Norte) section and that it is also a priority to rehabilitate the Saurimo/Muconda road, a vital route for commercial exchange.
Ravines
The Minister of Construction and Public Works, Carlos Santos, expressed concern about the progression of some ravines in Lunda-Sul, considering intervention in the municipalities of Dala and Cacolo important, as there are large ravines.
During the 12-hour visit to the province, minister Carlos Santos, followed by the vice-governor for the Technical and Infrastructure sector, Cláudio Pemessa, assessed the works on the National Road 240, in the Muconda/Biula and Cazage section and the headquarters ravine municipal do Muconda.
