African Champions League: Egyptian referee to officiate at Vita Club vs Petro de Luanda game

Luanda – A quartet of Egyptian referees has been picked for the match of the 2nd round (group A) of the Football Champions League between Vita Club de Kinshasa (DRC) and Petro de Luanda (Angola) scheduled for Saturday in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo.

Mohamed Maarouf Eid Mansour was selected to officiate the match, scheduled for next Saturday (5pm), at the Alfonse Massamba Débat stadium, in Brazzaville.

Mohamed Maarouf Eid Mansour will be assisted by compatriots Ammed Teleb and Youssef Elbosaty, while Ahmed El Elgandou will be the fourth referee.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Congolese Joseph Mand Ziouta as game commissioner.

In the first round, played at the 11 de Novembro stadium, in Luanda, the Angolan team drew (0-0) with JS Kabylie from Algeria

However, in the previous edition (2021-2022), Petro de Luanda reached the semi-finals, an achievement that had not been achieved for 21 years.
