Luanda - The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has transferred to January 2024 the holding of the African Nations Cup, in Côte d'Ivoire, initially scheduled for June and July 2023.
The change of date for the 34th edition of the CAN is due to the rainy season in the West African country in June and July.
The decision was announced today, Sunday, after a CAF Executive Committee meeting held in Morocco.
The continental football conclave also deliberated the start of the African Super League in August next year.
The finals of the Champion Clubs League and the Confederation Cup will once again be played in two hands.
