Luanda - The Angolan national football team will face Lesotho in Luanda on Saturday in the second leg of the final qualifying round for the CHAN 2025 to be held in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

Angola's national teams take the lead after winning the first leg 2-0 on Saturday in Durban, South Africa, the home of Lesotho.

Goals were scored by Megue (17') and Kaporal (20'). The two teams have met nine times since 1990, with the Angolans winning seven, losing one and drawing one.

Goalkeeper Rui Miguel (Interclube) and right-back Lito (Kabuscorp do Palanca) will be hoping to replace Neblú (1.º de Agosto) and Eddie Afonso (Petro de Luanda), who have been left out of the squad due to family commitments and injuries.

For the first leg, coach Pedro Gonçalves selected the following players: Neblú, Kinito, Vidinho, Hossi, Eddie Afonso, Pedro Bondo, Megue, Dabanda, Jaredi and Kaporal.

In 2014, under the leadership of Romeu Filemon, the biggest defeat was 4-0, played on October 15 at the 11 de Novembro stadium in the Angolan capital, qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The national team is participating in the CHAN for the fifth time, with their best performance in 2011 in Sudan, where they won the silver medal after losing 3-0 to Tunisia in the final.

In 2016 in Rwanda they finished in the group stage, in 2018 in Morocco they reached the quarterfinals and in 2022 in Algeria they again finished in the group stage.

The national team is made up of Rui Miguel and Nsesane (goalkeepers), Alexandre Abel, Hossi, Pedro Bondo, Vidinho, Lito, Caíca and Mabelé (defenders), Além, Soba, António Malamba, Calebi, Manico, Megue and Dos Santos (midfielders), Dabanda, Fernandinho, Jaredi, Julinho, Vanilson, Jó and Kaporal (strikers).
