Cazenga – The minister of Interior Manuel Homem was briefed Tuesday in Luanda on the workings of the Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety (DTSER), whose mission is to draw up strategies to prevent and combat road accidents.
The DTSER, an executive body of the General Command of the National Police, also has the mission of managing and registering vehicle drivers, inspecting vehicles and issuing driving licenses, among other documents.
Minister Manuel Homem called for greater speed and security in the issuing of documents handled by the Traffic and Road Safety Directorate.
In December 2024, the General Command of the National Police terminated the contract with the company that supplied the material for issuing the documents, after it failed to meet the demand.
