Luanda - The Brazilian Academy of Writers paid tribute to the Republic of Angola as a member of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries (CPLP) during the presentation of the fifth volume of the anthology "Elos da Língua Portuguesa", ANGOP has learned.

According to a press release from the Angolan Embassy in Brazil, the launch program included a Poetic Tertulia competition in which Angolan, Brazilian and Portuguese writers participated.

On this occasion, the Angolan writer Etelvina Diogo "Ngonguita" was honored with the publication of her poem "Minha Angola, Vida Minha" in the anthology.

According to the organizers of the event, the project does not evaluate the technical quality of the published texts, but rather the courage, creativity and desire for expression of each author.

For the president of the Brazilian Writers' Academy, João Paulo Vani, the main objective of "Elos da Língua Portuguesa" is to pay tribute to each of the nine Portuguese-speaking countries every year for 10 years.

The anthology, which brings together texts by writers from different nations and historical contexts, is a testimony to the plurality of the CPLP: more than a collection of texts, Elos da Língua Portuguesa celebrates unity in diversity, a bridge between different realities around a common good.
