Luanda - Angolan point guard Luísa Amaral is among the 10 athletes who stood out in the group stage of the African women's under-18 basketball championship, taking place in Pretoria, South Africa.
She was the best scorer of the national team, as well as with the best assist with an average of 17.3 and 4, respectively, in the three games played.
In the competition's debut, in the defeat against Mali (43-51), Luísa Amaral made 16.5 steals, four rebounds and three assists.
He also contributed with eight points, an equal number of rebounds, as well as assists, in Angola's victory over Morocco (74-62), whilst in the 3rd round, against Zambia (82-35), she scored 28 points.
The players Oummou Koumare, Omou Dabo from Mali, Damaris Emedie, Kely Kipo (Cameroon), Brigitte Nibishak (Rwanda), Eiza Louveton (Marocco), Resty Nanangwe (Uganda), Idubamo Beggi (Nigeria) e Khadiga Abouelghait (Egypt), are part of the list.
