Luanda - The ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), Bah Cheilch Mohamed, expressed on Monday in Luanda the interest of his country's news agency, the Sahrawi Press Service, in cooperating with the Angola News Agency (ANGOP) in the field of information, exchange of experience and training.
The information was released at the end of the Sahrawi diplomat's visit to the facilities of ANGOP, which he considers an excellent news agency.
"ANGOP is well prepared and very well equipped, both materially and in terms of experienced staff, to cover Angola's development in all aspects, especially the economic, political and social," said the \ambassador.
The diplomat said he was satisfied with what he had seen in the different areas of the institution, stressing that it is fully adequate to fulfill its mission of providing information, both nationally and internationally.
Cooperation Angola and the SADR, the diplomat said, have bilateral relations that go back a long way, since the national liberation struggle, while Angola was one of the first countries to open an embassy.
As Angola celebrates 50 years of independence, the ambassador recalled that Angola's first president, Agostinho Neto, recognized SADR as a "friendly country."
The diplomat expressed interest in strengthening economic relations between the two countries.
SADR is internationally recognized by 50 states and has embassies in 16 of them. It is a member of the African Union, but is not represented at the United Nations. FMA/VIC/TED/AMP
