Luanda -The Attorney General of the Republic of Mozambique, Beatriz Buchili, expressed on Tuesday, in Luanda, the interest in seeing the articulation between the Angolan Legislative Powers and the judicial system of her country.

Beatriz Buchili spoke to the press after a meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly (AN), Carolina Cerqueira, during which they addressed aspects related to the contribution of the Angolan Parliament to the Mozambican judicial sector.

According to the Mozambican Attorney General, Angola has efficient legislative instruments for the proper functioning of her activities, so she deserves sharing.

She said that had a good impression on instruments related to the prevention and combat of organized and transnational crime, the recovery of assets, the work of inquiry commissions, as well as the legislation of the very structure of the Public Prosecution Service, procedural instruction and criminal action.

The Prosecutor explained that another important aspect “harvested” of the Angolan Parliament experience is adherence to international conventions and underlined the need to reinforce relations at the judiciary, with the effective implementation of existing agreements.

She mentioned, for instance, the cooperation and mutual assistance agreements, transfer of convicts, memo of understanding between the two Attorney Generals, as well as CPLP extradition agreements and international conventions to which both states adhered.

Beatriz Buchili, who is in Luanda since Monday, considered excellent cooperation between Angola and Mozambique in the legal-judicial chapter, with enhancement for the formation of paintings, in which she stressed to have received support from Angolan, in various specialties, including the fight against drug trafficking.

She said that, two years ago, a group of Mozambican magistrates received training in Angola, to exercise the activity in the Courts of Appeal, considered higher courts of appeal in Mozambique.

“We basically came to congratulate the National Assembly for the contribution that has been making the judicial sector in the approval of relevant legislation for its operation in the legislative component, because the legislative sector is one of the fundamental pillars for the consolidation of the rule of law and democratic ”She stressed.
