CPLP Attorneys General have been in the country within the XIX meeting of the body that took place from 1 to 2 this month in the Angolan capital, under the organisation of the Attorney General’s Office of Angola.
Speaking to the press at the end of the audience, Cabo Verde Attorney General Luís José Landim said that issues related to the criminal situation were addressed in the field of criminal investigation.
"Nowadays organised crime is increasingly complex and strong, which leads countries to provide their own tools to cope with such organised transactional crimes," he said.
The magistrate stressed that among the CPLP Member States, there is a judicial cooperation based on international and regional conventions, bilateral agreements and initialed protocols.
For this reason, he advocated the holding of prosecutors' periodic meetings to streamline and further foster cooperation among the Member States.
