Cabinda – Angolan president João Lourenço arrived in Luanda on Saturday after a three-day visit to the northern Cabinda.
In Luanda, the Angolan Statesman, who was accompanied by the First Lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, was welcomed by Vice President of Republic, Bornito de Sousa.
On the first day of the visit (21), in the northernmost province of the country, João Lourenço inaugurated the General Hospital of Cabinda, with a capacity for 200 beds.
On the same day, the Head of State met with members of the provincial government of Cabinda and held separate meetings with members of civil society.
On the second day (22), the President visited Malongo oil field, where he made contact with the "Lifua A" oil platform, under construction in that region.
During the visit, the head of State opened the Passenger Maritime Terminal in Cabinda on Friday.
The Head of State has carried out work visits to the provinces aimed to assess the level of implementation of the various socio-economic projects aimed to improving the conditions of the populations and development of the country.
Before leaving Cabinda, João Lourenço, as leader of the ruling MPLA party, presided over a mass rally, which marked this Saturday (23) the launch of the pre-election campaign of the ruling party in that province.
