Luanda - Angolans must remain united and boost national production, as well as move towards sustainable development to honor those who fought to achieve National Independence, the vice-president of the ruling MPLA, Luísa Damião, said Monday in Luanda.
Speaking to the press during a tribute to the heroes of National Independence, at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier, the party leader explained that the unity of Angola's children will bring development to the country and honor to all Angolans.
“This is the path we have to follow, after 49 years of many achievements, but also many challenges,” she said.
The politician recalled that this year's motto is linked to national unity, production and sustainable development, hence the need for Angolans to preserve and value the achievements made and build a better future.
Luísa Damião called on the society to commit itself and get involved in the sector where it is working to honor those who fought to achieve National Independence.
