Ndalatando - More than 20 artists and composers of Cuanza Norte province attend since Monday a provincial forum for capacity building and improvement of mechanisms for protection and enjoyment of economic rights on intellectual property.
Promoted by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Environment, the event aims to provide participants with knowledge about the means of copyright protection and guarantees of economic benefits to artists and creators.
During four days, the participants will address the role of the institutions involved in copyright protection, collection of subsidies to improve the functioning of the National Service of Copyright and Related Rights (SENADIAC) and strategies to support entrepreneurs to promote business in the arts.
According to the national director of SENADIAC, Barros Licença, the activity aims to disseminate the mechanisms for protection of industrial and intellectual property, the latter regulated by the provisions of copyright, which imposes on artists the duty to register their creations.
