Lisbon - The Angolan ambassador to Portugal, Maria Ferreira, stressed on Thursday in Lisbon that the country has the conditions to be the gateway for investors and economic partners from other continents interested in investing in Africa.
Speaking at a business meeting, promoted by Dubai Investments International Angola, the diplomat said that Angola is able to receive investments in various areas, with emphasis on agriculture, tourism and industry.
She pointed to the recent strengthening of relations between Angola and the United Arab Emirates, as a result of the visit of the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José Lima Massano, to Abu Dhabi as one of the examples of the opportunities that the country offers to investors.
Maria Ferreira also pointed out the implementation of triangular partnerships as one of the factors that directly impacts other initiatives.
She also added that Angola and Portugal maintain a relationship of privilege, based on agreements and partnerships based on bases that history has helped to consolidate, a fact that can boost the country to be a hub and shorten distances between the two countries.
