Asia, Europe remain top destinations for Angola’s gas export

Luanda - Asia and Europe have become the top receiver of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from Angola in the first quarter this year (2022).

The data are contained in the statistics released by the Ministry of Minerals, Oil and Gas (Mirempet) on Tuesday, quoting the countries such as UK, France, Belgium, India, Singapore and Turkey as the main receiver.

 

It states that Angola exported a total of 952,036 metric tons (MT) to those destinations during the first quarter of this year.

 

Of this figure, 35pct was shipped to India, 28pct went to the UK, 7pct for Belgium, France, Turkey and Singapore at an average price of USD 1,641.91.

 

The country exported a total of 1.19 million metric tons of gas worth USD 1.7 billion, 1.35 percent higher compared to the fourth quarter of 2021, due to the price increase in the international market.

 

Angola also exported 19.053 metric tons of butane gas at an average price of USD 800.025/MT, 155.016 MT of propane gas at an average price of USD 608.184 and 66,071 MT of condensate at an average price of USD 803.078/MT.

 

The Asian market remains the main destination for Angola's crude oil and gas exports.
