Luanda - The 2025 economic year’s General State Budget will be discussed and voted, in general terms, in a plenary session scheduled for the 14th of this month, within the framework of the 3rd Legislative Session of the V Legislature.
The decision came from the Conference of parliamentary whips held on Thursday, under the guidance of the First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Américo Cuononoca.
During the plenary, political parties must present their position regarding the General State Budget, in accordance with the parliament’s Rules of Procedures.
Speaking to the press, at the end of the meeting, the first secretary of the National Assembly, Manuel Dembo, made it known that, on the 28th, the Plenary will discuss and vote, in general, on four diplomas, namely the Law on the Designation and Execution of Legal and International Acts, the Law on the Ombudsman's Office, the General Electricity Law and the Law on the General Coffer of the Courts.
The Plenary will discuss and vote on three diplomas relating to international matters, which are the Partnership Agreement between the European Union, its Member States, and the members of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS).
In this plenary, the Framework Agreement on the Establishment of the International Solar Alliance and the Marrakesh Treaty will also be assessed to facilitate access to published works for people who are blind, visually impaired or have other difficulties accessing printed text.
He said that the Draft Resolution approving the request for authorization for the International Double Adoption of the minor Luísa Cecília Tomás will also be submitted for discussion and voting.
Regarding internal issues, he said, the Plenary will consider the Draft Resolutions on the Budgetary and Financial Execution Reports and Accounts of the National Assembly, referring to the 2022/23 Financial Years.
The Operating Regulations of the General Secretariat of the National Assembly, the Organic Statute of the Parliamentary Academy and the Legal Regime of Parliamentary Officials will also be on the day’s agenda.
