Luanda - The Minister of Youth and Sports, Ana Paula do Sacramento Neto, on Monday in Luanda, praised the dynamics of the Angolan Skating Federation (FAP) for the massification and development of the sport.
Speaking at the opening of the 1st national meeting of skating, she praised the work done in the last two years, after the swearing in of the federative body for the four-year term 2020/24.
She added that despite some financial difficulties, the FAP was able to develop its activities, not only in Luanda, but also in other parts of the national territory.
She underlined that she is pleased that Angola has an official in World Skate Africa, which for her ends up bringing sporting development to the country.
"Being in the decision-making bodies, we are able to bring to Angola training, competitions and exchange of experiences at all levels. This will bring growth," she added.
In his turn, the president of FAP, Dionísio Viegas, said that the sport can continue alive if the family remains cohesive.
"Roller hockey is a reality and we are working towards legalising the disciplines associated with skating," he stressed
As for the meeting, sports management, the role of the training coach, sports marketing and the strategic plan of the FAP were analysed.
The event, held in the Sports Gallery at the Cidadela Compound, was attended by officials from Luanda, Kwanza Sul, Huila, Moxico and Cuando Cubango.
