Luanda – Angola senior football team on Friday performed a training session to improve technical, tactical, defensive and attacking aspects ahead of their encounter with Eswatini on June 7and Cameroon on June 11 for the group D of the 2026 World Cup qualifying.
For around two hours on the pitch, the national team coach Pedro Gonçalves, corrected various attacking moves, with highlights to crosses and other actions.
The integration of right-back Clinton da Mata, who plays for Lyon in France, was the attraction of the afternoon training session, while defender David Carmo is due to arrive Saturday morning.
Gelson Dala, Jonathan Buatu, Estrela, Milson, Randy Nteka, Maestro, Show, Jonás Ramalho, Manuel Benson, Jordy Gaspar, Kialunda Gaspar, Keliano, Dominique, Sandro Cruz, Cambila, Domingos Andrade, Pedro Bondo and Depú are also part of the national team squad also known as the giant sable antelope.
Angola is fourth with two points of the group D led by Cameroon with four. Cabo Verde is in second with four points, while Libya is third with four points. Mauritius is in fifth place with just one point, while Eswatine is in sixth place with no points.
