Luanda – 1º de Agosto senior women’s handball team of 1º de Agosto won Friday the Women’s Handball Super Cup dubbed “Francisco Almeida Cup” after beating Petro de Luanda 24-21, in the game played at Luanda’s Cidadela Pavilion.
After 41 minutes played, 1º de Agosto had a seven points (20-13) lead forcing the opponent to resort to timeouts to correct the defensive and offensive positioning, however Petro reduced to (19-22), but they were unable to avoid the (21-24) defeat.
1º de Agosto “snatched” the title from Petro.
