Ondjiva - The South African tourism agency "Trans Africa Drive Adventures" has indicated that in 2025 it will prioritize the promotion of Angola's tourism potential in order to attract the international community.
The information was disclosed on Saturday in southern Cunene province by the South African tourism ambassador and coordinator of Trans Africa Drive Adventures, George Van Deventel, during the return of a delegation of tourists who spent the festive season in Angola.
Speaking to ANGOP, Van Deventel said that different groups of tourists will travel to Angola in 2025 to see the country's natural tourist attractions.
He pointed out that Angola has enormous attractions in terms of natural beauty, a friendly and welcoming population, as well as people with a culture that arouses interest and dissemination.
He praised the Angolan police for ensuring that tourist camps are patrolled, thereby increasing the visitors' sense of security and tranquility, adding that as South Africa's tourism ambassador, he is working to get people to enjoy Africa's hidden regional beauties and to reverse the skepticism and stigma that many people have.
However, he noted that most restaurants, police stations and traffic signs lack information in English or any other international language.
"If we want to promote tourism, it is necessary to standardize the international language, in addition to the official language of each country, to reverse the difficulties of interaction," said George Deventel.
At least 23 tourists participated in this trip, which took place over two weeks in Cunene, Lubango (Huila), Moçâmedes, Tombwa and Baía das Pipas (Namibe).
The agency Trans Africa Drive Adventures has several digital platforms and a page with 170,000 followers from all over the world on Faceboock, where the beauties of Africa are shown.FI/LHE/IZ/CF/AMP
