Luanda – The price of a barrel of Brent crude oil opened trading on the stock exchange at USD 64.56 at the international market, on Monday (14), after closing the previous day's trading session at USD 65.55, a 0.32% drop.
The prices of crude oil futures for delivery in June were fixed, on Sunday (13), at minimum variation of USD 64.34 and a maximum of USD 65.36, according to the specialized website “investing.com”.
The drop in prices is due to concerns that the latest trade tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump could lead economies around the world into recession and reduce global demand for energy.
Brent is the oil that serves as a reference for Angola's exports. The General State Budget for the 2025 financial year was projected based on a price of USD 70/barrel and an estimated production of 1,098,000 barrels of oil daily. ASS/CF/DOJ
