Luanda – The Angolan Capoeira will be performed from April 17 to 21 in the European art festival and the 5th Brazilian games taking place in Portugal
According to a note that ANGOP had access to, the Angolan delegation that will represent the wealth and strength of capoeira on the international stage will include experienced capoeira practitioners, some based in the country and others residing in Europe.
The highlight goes to Yuri Bumba, twice European champion, and the famous Mestre Kabwenha.
According to the document, the event will bring the tradition, emotion and energy of the people in celebration of the art that combines fighting, dance, culture, music and ancestry.
The Angolans promise to transform the Portuguese capital into a true clash of cultures, rhythm and movement of Afro-descendants with intense competitions, workshops with masters and masters in training, capoeira circles and cultural exchange.
