Lubango – A 38-year-old former-soldier and a 53-year-old teacher were arrested, in Lubango, during the weekend, by the national police (PN), through their Huíla Criminal Offenses Investigation Department (DIIP), for faking educational qualifications certificates.
When speaking about the case today, Monday, in this city, the head of DIIP – Huíla, Superintendent Pedro Cassoma Mendes, stated that the arrest occurred moments after the former-soldier had presented himself at the PN permanent registration center in Huíla, the place where transition tests from the Angolan armed forces to the police takes place, and presented the fake document and after requesting confirmation from the school.
With the arrest of the former-soldier, according to the source, DIIP-Huíla carried out investigations that allowed the identification of a professor from a higher education institution, who provided the respective certificate form 13,000 Kz (US$15).
He added that copies of several IDs were found in his possession for the issuance of certificates for health courses worth 19,000 kz (US$22) for their inclusion in the labor market.
Paulo Cassoma Mendes highlighted that the suspect claimed it was the first time he had carried out such an illegal procedure. MS/MS/CF/DOJ
