Lubango – A number of 270 members of the provincial delegation of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) in Huíla province, walked, on Sunday, 12 kilometers, to mark the launch of the day commemorating the institution's 45th anniversary to be celebrated on the 22nd of this month.
Among the staff, the members of the advisory council, heads of departments and basic staff from the different bodies stand out, who in 2h:40minutes walk from the Cristo Rei monument to the MININT headquarters building.
Speaking to the press, on the sidelines of the activity, MININT delegate in Huíla, commissioner Divaldo Martins, highlighted that the walk served to test the resistance, bravery, readiness and team spirit among the members, so it will be carried out in a permanent way.
The senior officer highlighted that the personnel must be “well prepared” physically for their well-being and be able to be ready for any situation that may arise, taking the opportunity to congratulate the participants for the discipline and bravery demonstrated during the route.
The program also includes the carrying out of activities, such as the distribution of booklets on public safety to drivers, to be carried out by children from the 1º de Outubro school, a sports competition, a walk to Tundavala, a tribute to outstanding personnel with more than 40 years of service and the retired.
