Icolo and Bengo - The ruling MPLA will call for tougher supervision on the works of the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) and greater dynamism for its conclusion the MPLA's political bureau for social policy, Maricel Capama has said.
The politician made the statement at the end of a visit to verify, help and control the works of the PIIM and the fight against poverty, in the municipality of Icolo and Bengo.
Maricel Capama also noted the Banza Quitel health center, under construction since 2020, in the commune of Cabiri, with work halted due to lack of money, according to the contractor.
In this regard, the secretary of the political bureau clarified that the stoppage of works is due to the contractors' non-compliance and that as a party that supports the government, it will advocate on ministries to have the monitoring mission, to follow up the works to be concluded.
The visit is part of the MPLA's journey of aid, control and observation visits to PIIM works and the fight against poverty.
