Luanda – Angola Media Regulatory Authority (ERCA) on Wednesday appealed to journalists to be balanced when covering political parties’ activities.
Speaking to ANGOP, the ERCA urged dynamic search and treatment of events to satisfy the public interest and the adoption of a behaviour based on the respect for the Constitution of the Republic of Angola and the Law.
It also recommended the promotion of pluralism of opinion and openness of participation of all political players, giving them the opportunity to share their ideas.
ERCA has said it urges media outlets and its professionals to be true intermediaries between political players and society, avoiding being active part in political activities. It also reiterates its willingness to devote special attention to journalistic activity in this historical phase of the country.
